Pastry:
3 2/3 C.
flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1 1/3 c. butter flavor Crisco
10 tbsp cold water

Filling:
8 cups peeled & sliced apples
1 c. sugar
1/3 c flour
1 tsp nut meg
1 tsp cinnamon

Glaze:
1/3 c. melted butter
2 c powder sugar
1 ½ tsp vanilla
2-4 tbsp hot water

Bake at
400 for 40 minutes in 15 X 11 pan |
Mix dry
ingredients – cut in Crisco – Add water and mix. Divide dough in ½
and roll into rectangle. Transfer to 15 x 11 pan. Roll out rest of
dough & set aside. Fill pan with apples & dry ingredients –
mixed. Cover with top crust. Bake 400 for 40 minutes. When almost
cool - drizzle with
glaze. |
